Cuelora Core is the fastest path to accessible captioning for small venues, schools, simple productions, and budget-conscious deployments. You build your caption slides in PowerPoint, export as PNGs, and upload. Your house manager advances them manually during the show — no scripting knowledge needed. Cuelora Pro is best for theaters and productions, multi-language audiences, high reliability environments, and reduced staffing workflows. It adds full script-driven automation: import a PDF or Word script and Cuelora builds your cue list, translates it, and can even advance captions automatically by listening to the stage. Build your slides in PowerPoint Design your caption slides the way you always have — one line of dialogue per slide (or however your team prefers). Add any formatting, colors, and fonts you like.
Export as PNG and upload Export your PowerPoint deck as individual PNG images. Drag and drop them into Cuelora's import screen in the correct order. You're done with setup.
Perform Patrons connect their phones or tablets to the local Wi-Fi and open the Cuelora URL. Your house manager advances slides on cue from the control screen. No internet, no app.

Yes. If you start with Cuelora Core and later want the full feature set, you can upgrade to Pro by paying the difference ($2,605). Your existing show library, venue settings, and branding carry over — nothing is lost. Contact us to arrange an upgrade.
Yes. Both plans use exactly the same patron-facing experience — patrons open a URL on any phone or tablet and see captions in their browser. There is no app download required in either plan. The only difference is what they see: PNG slides in Core, or script-driven text blocks in Pro.
Cuelora Core supports open captioning via any smart TV or display — the whole audience can see the captions on screen. LED surtitle sign output (HDMI or serial) is a Pro-only feature.
Just PNG image files. You can create them in PowerPoint, Keynote, Canva, Photoshop, or any other tool — export as PNG and upload to Cuelora in order. Image size and resolution are flexible. Most venues use a 16:9 landscape format to match the patron display.
Only once — when you import a script and have multilingual translations enabled, Cuelora sends the dialogue to Google Translate at import time to generate translations. After that, all caption delivery runs entirely offline on your local Wi-Fi. Script Follow uses the browser's built-in Web Speech API, which may use Google's speech service. All other features are 100% local at showtime.
Both plans support unlimited patron devices on your local network — there is no per-device fee or cap. The practical limit is your Wi-Fi router's capacity, which is typically 50–200 devices for a standard venue router.
No subscription is ever required. Both are one-time purchases with perpetual licenses. There is no subscription and no per-performance fee. Ongoing updates after the first year are available for $400 per year if desired. The software continues to work indefinitely without it.
